Skyward announces an information-management solution for operators

INTERDRONE-SKYWARD

Skyward, an information-management platform for aerial robotics, wants to help commercial drone operators better plan their flights. The company just announced its first information-management solution at the International Drone Conference and Exposition (InterDrone) in Las Vegas this week.

“In the last year, I’ve seen the commercial drone market evolve rapidly, with over 1,400 FAA grants to date,” said Jonathan Evans, CEO of Skyward. ‘skyward gives those operators comprehensive tools to access the sky and meet their business objectives. Skyward is committed to powering the next generation of aviation.”

The new platform is designed to provide operators with flight-planning tools, and a record system to track information and airspace data necessary for business, insurance or regulatory requirements.

The key features include an airspace map; flight planning and logging tools; a digital system of record that manages personnel, drones and equipment; online storage; and support from regulatory and operational experts.

‘skyward is built to power commercial drone businesses,” said Evans. “Existing maps and apps built for hobbyists don”T meet the requirements of a professional operation. Skyward is the one solution a drone operator needs to navigate the new rules of the sky and run their business.”
