PrecisionHawk gets new CEO to lead its commercial drone initiative

PrecisionHawk is bringing on a new CEO in an effort to expand and accelerate its growth in the commercial drone industry. Michael Chasen, former CEO of the education technology platform provider Blackboard and CEO of the geo-location company SocialRadar, will be joining PrecisionHawk as their new CEO.

“Michael is a talented and experienced CEO with remarkable success in architecting and scaling a technology platform,” said Bob Young, PrecisionHawk’s chairman and former CEO. “Under his leadership, PrecisionHawk is well positioned to expand its technology offerings and optimize the integration of its platform into the existing business processes of its clients.”

According to PrecisionHawk, Chasen come with more than 20 years of software experience, and he was once named to Forbes? list of “America’s 20 Most Powerful CEOs 40 and Under.”

PrecisonHawk has made a name for itself in the commercial drone industry by providing an enterprise platform to collect and analyze business data for agriculture, construction, energy, and insurance. It features automated flight planning, data collection and analytics.
