DJI is adding a new drone to its product line. Spark is a new mini camera drone designed to lift off from the palm of your hand and capture moments on the go.
According to the company, Spark is the first drone that enables hand control gestures, enabling users to control the camera and drone with their hands. “Controlling a camera drone with hand movements alone is a major step towards making aerial technology an intuitive part of everyone’s daily life, from work and adventure to moments with friends and family,” said Paul Pan, senior product manager at DJI. ‘spark’s revolutionary new interface lets you effortlessly extend your point of view to the air, making it easier than ever to capture and share the world from new perspectives.”

The company dubbed this new mode Gesture Mode. It also features Palm Control for new advanced gesture controls and the ability to call the drone back to you with your hands. The drone can also be operated by a remote controller and mobile device.
The drone weighs 10.6 ounces and comes in a variety of colors: Alpine White, Sky Blue, Meadow Green, Lava Red and Sunrise Yellow.
Other features include a new QuickShot Intelligent Flight Mode, previously introduced modes including TapFly and ActiveTrack, and a Sport Mode. Additionally, Spark can capture 12 megapixel photos and 1080p videos, and includes Pano Mode and ShallowFocus mode for capturing images and videos.
