Fire and Search & Rescue

This course provides an in-depth look at how Fire and Search & Rescue Personnel can incorporate UAV into their workflow. It will begin with an introduction to UAV for Government Infrastructure (Successful implementations), and then UAV and its uses for Fire, Search & Rescue. Attendees will get an overview of cost and time savings, understand the efficiency of using a sUAS deployment to identify threats with real-time video, understand how to assess a scene and its threats from the air before deploying resources, how to save resources while keeping your crew out of harm’s way, and go over obstacles and threats that would have previously delayed operations. There will also be an introduction to using thermal imaging for S&R, and an overview of locating lost hikers, a lost senior citizen or missing person, and tracking a fugitive.
